I have tried the changing the lock out but it still would catch the skin that pokes threw the vent holes. So I thought what if there was something for the lock to hit before the pinch. I took one of my wife's hair ties wrapped it around the cage and it stopped most I the pinching. Also I have orders and waitin on a plastic reusable lock from lockedlove.come that some may be interested in.

Great tip on wearing thongs or boyshorts to keep things tucked. I have been in my cb6000 for a week now and was kind of getting depressed because I thought I wouldn't be able to wear women's underwear anymore. After reading this page yesterday, I put on a thong today. LOVE IT! This is the most comfortable I have been in my device yet. Can't wait to see how it works with boyshorts. Thanks for all the other tips too. I am more confident now that this will be an enjoyable time for both my wife and myself

I'm quite big and getting into my CB-6000 is a bit of a challenge. I found using a bit of silicone lubricant and my vacuum cleaner and my hand to finish off a decent seal at the pee slot pulls it in very nicely without the struggle of pushing it in or trying to get it to shrink, which is often doesn't want to do. This makes getting into the CB6k as nice as parking a huge Mercedes sedan in a heated garage....

No need to be snarky. It’s not like any of this is intuitive[…].

Okay, Tom, look. There are 3 different kinds of questions: bad, good, and great. Bad questions are ones to which the answers have already been provided. Good questions are ones to which the person asked already knows the answer. Great questions are ones to which no one yet has an answer.

Here's an example of a bad question:

Don’t you need some lube to keep the ring from rubbing against everything? Or has you skin toughened up around where the ring goes.

Why is it a bad question? Because the answer is "tip number 2" in this post, above. I'm being what you describe as "snarky" because I'm annoyed by the sheer number of people who seem to lack reading comprehension skills. Not saying that's you, necessarily, but, well…you are asking questions to which the answers have already been provided.

Please understand that I get a lot of inquiries about this and a range of other topics all the time and it is beyond annoying to have to repeat myself. Avoiding the need to spend time answering bad questions is among the reasons why I wrote this post in the first place.

I think you just need to understand that a lot of people make stupid mistakes, and it’s never a good idea to discourage people from asking questions, even if it seems stupid to you.

I agree with you that it is not "a good idea to discourage people from asking questions," but I think it is equally unhelpful to let bad questions go unnamed as such. Learning to ask good or great questions is a far more important thing to do than getting the answer to any individual question one may have.

And since you won't post a followup to except to point and laugh, I think you just need to understand that a lot of people make stupid mistakes, and it's never a good idea to discourage people from asking questions, even if it seems stupid to you. Lot's of bad things happen when you try to have long term chastity. I thought talcum powder would be a good thing to keep moisture out, until I tried it and it created a paste. You run into so many problems such as edema, cuts, moisture related problems..
In truth, I tried the soap idea once, it didn't work, and I moved on, but I found 3 other people on a forum who did the same thing. Since you're one of the top ranked results on this issue and there are many links to this entry, I thought it'd be good for you to clarify so other people won't have to deal with this. Most sites recommend you lube up as much and often as possible, so when I saw soap as lube, I assumed you meant you leave it on.
I'm not trying to flame you. I just thought it'd be nice for anyone else trying this out to not have a problem freaking out because their skin is peeling off.

No need to be snarky. It's not like any of this is intuitive, like sticking qtips up a plastic hole to clean your penis. I don't usually put lube on and then wash it off, nor do I put on the CB in the shower. Seems like there would be unnecessary moisture inside the tube if you put it on in the shower. Don't you need some lube to keep the ring from rubbing against everything? Or has you skin toughened up around where the ring goes.

When you use soap, do you usually wash it off immediately afterwards?

Yes, Tom, immediately. To clarify, I use soap when I'm already showering. Just as I wouldn't put soap on my hand and then not wash it off before leaving the sink, I wouldn't put soap on my cock and then not wash it off while showering. This fact is true regardless of whether or not I'm wearing a chastity device. (And do I have to add, "duh"?)

I always put on the CB 3000 after I shower, so I won't shower until the next day. I tried using soap instead of lube once, and it caused my skin to peel in a strange way. I've talked to a few others that had the same problem. When you use soap, do you usually wash it off immediately afterwards?

how do you wash the soap out of the tube to stop it from causing irritation once locked inside the device.

Um. Same way you'd wash the lube out if you used that. See also tip #3 in this post: "Hygiene is easiest with a nozzle and high water pressure.
