Dear tech genius maymay: do you know why your posts are replicated in my Google reader from 2-4 times a day lately? This may be a simple matter of me removing and re-adding your link, to perhaps halt whatever glitch is happening. That was really a thinly-veiled reason for me to: say hi to you; admit that I’ve been taking advantage of your daily stalker updates (since I refuse to use Twitter and all the other ones) for months and therefore semi-stalking you on the Internet; tell you that I wish we got to be actual friends back when we lived in the same place; and mention that perhaps I’ll be up there visiting Shanna shortly before bus trip to Sex 2.0 and would like also to see you then.

@Augustin:
I suspect that (if it’s not an issue on the Google Reader side of things—and it may be) the Twitter Tools plugin for WordPress that I use to pull in my Twitter status updates duplicates daily digest posts. This is a known bug, but happens only occasionally and as I also subscribe to my own RSS feed I fix it pretty quickly. If you’re seeing a lot of duplication, there may be something simple like subscribing to both my RSS and Atom feeds, or something like that. Double-checking this isn’t a bad idea.
As an aside, I’ve been meaning to hack up Twitter Tools for a while to support Laconica so that I can point it to my preferred micro-messaging service provider, Identi.ca. Hopefully when I or someone else on the Internet (hint, hint, lazy web!) does that this bug can also get looked at.
I’m glad to hear you like them! Sometimes I’m not sure whether to keep posting them or not, since I now get my own personal backup copy of my Identi.ca notices delivered via other channels. So it’s good to hear you make use of them. :)
That could be lovely! The best way to coordinate this with me is to email me privately. My email address is in the footer of all my blog’s pages.
