How FetLife Video Sharer works
Each video on FetLife is embedded on a webpage just like a YouTube video, with a unique Web address. If you know the Web address of a particular video, you can load and watch it even without being logged in to a FetLife account. This tool simply inspects the HTML source of the FetLife Video page and extracts the video’s web address. Once you have the Web address of a video, you never need to log in to FetLife to view that video ever again.

System requirements
The following software must be installed on your system before installing the FetLife Video Sharer user script.
Mozilla Firefox
If you use the Mozilla Firefox web browser (version 12.0 or higher), ensure you have the Greasemonkey extension installed (at version 1.0 or higher).
Google Chrome
If you use the Google Chrome web browser (version 23 or higher), ensure you have the Tampermonkey extension installed.
Installing
To install FetLife Video Sharer, go to http://maybemaimed.com/playground/fetlife-video-sharer/ and click the “Download and install” near the middle of the page:

Using
To use FetLife Video Sharer, log in to your FetLife.com account and go to any video page on FetLife. In the right-hand sidebar, under the “VID411” heading, click the “Share this video!” link:
You will be presented with a pop-up dialog that offers you several different options for how you’d like to share the direct link to the video.
A direct, free link will also be shown. Simply bookmark that link or share it with your friends so that you can return to watch that video even when you are not logged in to FetLife. By compiling many video links, you can create a freely available, no subscription required, never-expiring directory of previously for-pay video content. Enjoy for yourself and help others do the same at no charge!

Do I need a FetLife account to view a video someone else shared?

John, to clarify in case it isn’t clear, the FetLife Video Sharer script was designed to be used by FetLife members who do have access to videos to share the link to those videos. So if you don’t have access to FetLife videos, but you know someone who has paid for access to FetLife videos, you can tell them to install this script and then share the videos with you.
Point is, any video can be shared with anyone else using the direct link that the FetLife Video Sharer script sees on the FetLife Video page. But this means you have to see the video itself, first.
